Frequently Asked QUestions

What is Integrative Coaching?

Integrative coaching helps you better understand yourself, improve communication, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, lasting changes that align with your goals and values. Depending on your individual needs, Paulina may incorporate Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and other coaching techniques to support behavior change, emotional resilience, communication, and personal growth.

How does coaching differ from therapy?

While coaching and therapy can complement one another, they serve different purposes. Coaching focuses on the present and future, helping clients clarify goals, develop practical strategies, strengthen communication, and create positive change.

Therapy focuses on diagnosing and treating mental health conditions and often explores past experiences and emotional healing. If you are experiencing significant mental health concerns, working with a licensed mental health professional is recommended.

Who seeks integrative coaching?

People seek coaching for many different reasons. Some are navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, career changes, or overwhelming stress. Others want to improve communication, build confidence, strengthen family relationships, develop healthier habits, or simply gain a deeper understanding of themselves.

Coaching is for individuals who are ready to actively participate in their own personal and professional growth.

What happens during coaching sessions?

Every coaching journey begins with understanding you, your goals, values, strengths, challenges, and the areas where you’d like to grow.

Before your first session, you’ll complete a few forms that help Paulina tailor the coaching experience to your unique needs. Depending on your goals, coaching sessions are typically scheduled one to four times per month.

Each session is collaborative, practical, and focused on helping you move forward. Through thoughtful conversation, personalized coaching tools, and actionable steps, you’ll develop greater self-awareness, improve communication, and build practical strategies you can apply between sessions.

Is herbal medicine right for me?

Herbal medicine may be a good fit if you’re looking for a personalized, natural approach to supporting your health and well-being. It can be used alongside conventional medicine to promote balance, resilience, and overall wellness. Every recommendation is tailored to your individual needs, health history, and goals.

What types of conditions can herbal medicine support?

Herbal medicine has traditionally been used to support many aspects of health, including stress resilience, sleep, digestive health, immune function, hormonal balance, skin health, and overall well-being. It may also be used alongside conventional medical care to support recovery and promote long-term wellness.

Recommendations are always individualized and based on your unique health history, lifestyle, and wellness goals.

Does Paulina have areas of special interest?

While Paulina works with a wide range of wellness concerns, her primary areas of interest include nervous system support, stress and anxiety, sleep, hormonal health, digestive wellness, and helping clients take a whole-person approach to health and well-being.

Why combine coaching and herbal medicine?

Although many clients choose only coaching or only herbal wellness consultations, others benefit from an integrative approach.
